In 2009, Weigel invested 1 billion yuan to build an annual production of 1.2 million high-grade all-steel radial truck tire projects. In 2014, the company officially launched the green car radial tire production project.

It is understood that Weigel's tire products are mainly exported, but in 2015, the US “double-reverse” has had a significant impact on its export business. Among the 65 tire companies involved in Shandong Province, Weigel is listed.

In September 2015, Weigel reached a cooperation with SUN GLOBAL, one of the largest tire sales groups in the Middle East.
