The No. 1 unit of the Zibo waste incineration cogeneration project in Shandong Province, which has received much attention, has started to operate. Recently, Unit 2 entered the final commissioning phase, which marked that Zibo City became the second city in Shandong Province to have a waste incineration power generation project after Heze, and it is also the largest waste incineration power generation project in the province currently under construction.
Huang Weipeng, deputy general manager of Zibo Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. said: “The scraps of peels and vegetables can be burned and generated. The heat value of paper scraps and plastic products is high and the water content is low.” The garbage is input into the hearth by the brakes in a ratio of 4:1. When coal is mixed, it can be burned, and the garbage that pollutes the environment becomes electricity that everyone needs.
"Now it is the trial operation stage. Unit 1 is operating normally. It burns 400 tons of garbage every day and can generate 15,000 kWh per hour." Huang Weipeng introduced that Unit 1 has supplied power to Zibo Power Grid. According to the traditional coal-fired mode, 0.6 kg of coal is needed for each production of electricity. Instead of using waste incineration to generate electricity, only 0.2 kg of coal and 1.4 kg of domestic garbage are needed for each production of electricity. This not only has considerable economic benefits, but also treats domestic garbage. Turning waste into treasure.
Regarding the garbage power generation that everyone cares about, there will be no pollution problem. Huang said: "The project has passed strict environmental assessment procedures before construction. We control the temperature of garbage burning between 850 °C and 950 °C. Technical equipment will effectively reduce the generation of pollutants.” In addition to the dust that appears after waste incineration, they installed a bag filter, which is used in cement bricks. The garbage water will be sprayed into the furnace and burned.
It is understood that at the end of July, two boilers and two units will generate electricity at the same time. After the completion of all the projects, the annual waste disposal capacity will be 360,000 tons, the annual power generation capacity will be 160 million kwh, and the power supply will be 128 million kwh.
