At the meeting, Prof. Lunquan Quan, technical director of the project, Professor Zhao Hongwei, and the person in charge of each project carried out work reports. The expert group conducted inquiries, on-the-spot examinations, and discussion of the project and agreed that the project successfully developed an in-situ tester for micro-mechanical properties of materials under a multi-load and multi-physics environment with independent intellectual property rights in China and associated analysis and processing software. The project achievements have provided technical support for major national science and technology needs, such as high-tech numerical control equipment, large aircrafts, manned spaceflights and other national major science and technology projects, and national key research and development plans, as well as strategic emerging industries such as new materials and high-end equipment manufacturing. The project satisfactorily completed various tasks as stipulated in the mission statement. Some of the tasks were exceeded and agreed to pass preliminary acceptance.
It is reported that the project of "Development and Application of Micromechanical Properties of In-situ Testing Instruments for Materials" of the National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Project was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2012.
