Turbine flowmeter installation techniques and precautions:
In order to ensure accurate measurement of the turbine flow meter , the installation location must be correctly selected
1. Requirements for straight sections:
The flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the pipeline needs to be tilted within 50). When installing, the flowmeter axis should be concentric with the pipeline axis and the flow direction should be consistent.
The length of the pipeline upstream of the flowmeter shall have a straight pipe section of not less than 2D, if the installation site is permitted, the upstream straight pipe section is 20D and the downstream is 5D.
2. Requirements for piping:
The inner diameter of the upper and lower piping of the flow meter installation point is the same as the inner diameter of the flow meter.
3. Requirements for the bypass pipe:
In order to ensure that the flowmeter overhaul does not affect the normal use of the media, shutoff valves (stop valves) should be installed on the front and rear pipelines of the flowmeter, and bypass piping should be provided. The flow control valve needs to be installed downstream of the flowmeter. When the flowmeter is used, the shutoff valve installed in the upstream must be fully open, to avoid unstable flow in the upstream part of the fluid.
4. Requirements for the external environment:
Turbine flowmeter is best to be installed indoors, must be installed outdoors, it must use sun, rain and lightning protection measures, so as not to affect the service life.
5. Requirements for impurities in the medium:
In order to guarantee the service life of the flowmeter, a filter should be installed in front of the straight flow section of the flowmeter.
Installation place:
The flowmeter should be installed in a location that is easy to maintain without strong electromagnetic interference and heat radiation.
6. Requirements for installation welding:
The user is equipped with a pair of standard flanges welded on the front and rear pipes. No flowmeter welding allowed!
Before installing the flowmeter, it is necessary to strictly remove contaminants such as welding slag from the pipeline. It is better to use a pipe with the same diameter (or bypass pipe) instead of the flowmeter to purge the pipeline. To ensure that the flowmeter is not damaged during use.
When installing the flowmeter, the gasket between the flanges cannot be recessed inside the pipe.
7. Flowmeter grounding specific requirements:
The flowmeter should be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with the strong system ground.
8. Specific requirements for explosion-proof products:
In order to use the instrument safely and normally, it is necessary to review whether the use environment of the explosion-proof flowmeter is in conformity with the requirements of the user's explosion-proof requirements. During installation and use, the requirements of the national explosion-proof product shall be strictly observed. The user shall not modify the connection mode of the explosion-proof system by himself. Feel free to open the meter.
9. Select the type within the specified flow range to prevent overspeed running to ensure the desired accuracy and ensure the normal service life.
10. Before installing the flowmeter, clean the inside of the pipe: debris, welding slag, stones, dust, etc. It is recommended to install a filter with a 5 μm mesh upstream to block droplets and sand.
11. When the flowmeter is put into operation, the front valve shall be slowly opened first, and then the rear valve shall be opened to prevent instantaneous airflow impact and damage the turbine.
12. Lubrication should be operated according to the signboard. The number of refuelings depends on the degree of cleanliness of the gas, usually 2-3 times per year. Turbine overspeeding due to pressure tests, purge lines, or exhaust, and turbine running in reverse flow can damage the flowmeter.
13. When the flowmeter is running, it is not allowed to open the front and back cover freely, and change the internal parameters, otherwise it will affect the normal operation of the flowmeter.
14. Carefully install the gasket. Make sure no protrusions enter the tube to prevent interference with normal flow measurements.
15. When the flowmeter is calibrated, collect pressure on the flowmeter pressure port.
