The Internet penetration rate in rural areas reached 33.1%, the number of rural express outlets reached nearly 95,000, the coverage rate of township outlets exceeded 70%, and Taobao Village reached 1311. The problem of “one kilometer†in rural e-commerce is gradually being solved.
The income from leisure agriculture and rural tourism operations reached 480 billion yuan, showing a rapid development trend. By the end of 2016, the number of leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration counties (cities, districts) and beautiful leisure villages reached 328 and 370 respectively, and the national leisure agriculture and rural tourism received more than 2.4 billion tourists, and the number of employees reached 8.5 million. Operating income increased by 8% year-on-year. Among them, "Spring Festival to the farmer's New Year" "early spring to the countryside to go green" "early summer to rural food" "Zhongqiu to the field to pick" became the theme of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. The ratio of agricultural product processing industry to agricultural output value exceeds 2.2:1, which expands the value-added space for agricultural products. In 2016, the income from the business operations of agricultural products processing above designated size reached 20.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year, achieving steady improvement and efficiency. Among them, the refined tea processing industry, meat processing industry and Chinese medicine manufacturing industry with large consumption demand and high level maintained rapid growth, up 13.2%, 7.8% and 8.9% respectively. The total profit of agricultural products processing industry above designated size reached 1,399.4 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1% over the previous year. The added value of agricultural products processing enterprises above designated size increased by 5.8% over the previous year (the actual growth rate after deducting the price factor), which satisfied people's multi-level and diversified needs.
