The fixed sieve is generally divided into two types: a grid sieve and a rod sieve, which are composed of steel bars or steel bars arranged in parallel, the steel bars and steel bars are called grid bars, and the grid bars are connected by a cross bar. Its structure is simple, but widely used in the beneficiation plant.
The sieve is usually installed horizontally on the upper part of the original mine silo to ensure that the feed size of the coarse crusher is appropriate. The bar screen is mainly used for pre-screening of coarse and medium crushing. It is inclined for installation, generally inclined by 35°~50°, and the inclination angle is increased by 5°~10° when screening wet materials. The gap between the two bars is usually not less than 50 mm. The screen of the heavy-duty bar screen can reach 200~250mm, welded with steel beams, and used to sieve the fine particles in the feed before the coarse crusher. The size of the bar screen is determined according to actual needs, but the width is at least 2.5 times larger than the maximum block size in the feed, and the length is generally 2 times the width.
The fixed sieve has simple structure, no moving parts, no power, but is easy to block, the required height difference is large, and the screening efficiency is low, generally only 50%~60%.
Because the fixed screen structure is simple and easy to manufacture, the concentrator or other users often manufacture it themselves, but some factories and mines also order from the manufacturer for convenience. The performance of the fixed screen technology produced by the Anshan Mine is shown in Table 1. The outline and installation dimensions are shown in Figures 1 and 2.

The SDF series of flap-type fixed screens produced by Changfa Mining Machinery is equipped with a flap mechanism to clean the stain on the screen surface. The fixed screen structure of this series is simple, compact, light weight and well sealed, and can be widely used for grading the materials to be crushed before the simple assembly line crusher .
