Hankook Tire announced that it has obtained the original tire supply contract for the new BMW 1 Series.

The BMW 1 Series will be equipped with the Ventus Prime2, a super-performance tire from Hankook Tire, which was used as the original tire of the BMW MINI Cooper S.

The Ventus Prime2 tires with a size of 195/55 R 16 V will be installed in the BMW 116i, 118i, 116d and 118d models. The BMW 1 Series 120d will be equipped with Ventus Prime2 tires with dimensions of 205/55 R 16 W.

Hankook Tire is the world's seventh-largest automotive tire manufacturer and has supplied original tires to many models including Lincoln MKT, Ford F-150 and Explorer, Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain, Volkswagen Passat, Hyundai Sonata and Kia Opitma.
