Second-generation benzene hydrogenation catalysts are less polluting and safer

Liaoyang Petrochemical Research Institute has successfully developed the second-generation low-energy, environmentally friendly benzene hydrogenation catalyst. This technological achievement breaks through the defects of the traditional loading type and Ziegler Natta catalyst preparation technology, and forms a patented technology with independent intellectual property rights, which is conducive to the maximum realization of high value-added chemical intermediate products such as cyclohexane. Increase production.

The new results have the characteristics of simple preparation technology and no waste discharge. Compared with traditional Ziegler-Natta type benzene hydrogenation catalysts, it has the advantages of no carboxylate salt formation process, no waste water production, no active use of alkyl-aluminum and other chemically active materials, and lower reaction temperature and pressure. Solved the problem of environmental pollution, production safety, and can greatly reduce the investment and operating costs of the device.

Liaoyang Petrochemical Research Institute independently developed the first generation of benzene hydrogenation homogeneous catalyst 20 years ago and successfully applied it to Liaoyang Petrochemical's adipic acid production process, accumulating Liaoyang Petrochemical Company's cost savings of 320 million yuan. The second generation of new benzene hydrogenation catalysts was renewed based on the successful experience of the original technology, and completed research on key technologies such as improvement of the preparation method, optimization of the active group distribution ratio, hydrogenation process, and life inspection test. The benzene conversion is greater than 99% and the cyclohexane selectivity is 100%.

Electric​ Heater
