The rainfall in most parts of the city has reached a storm level, which is the rated precipitation in Yichang this year. Precipitation in urban areas reaches 90 mm or more, precipitation in some townships exceeds 100 mm, and rated precipitation occurs in the town of Changping County in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County. The cumulative precipitation reaches more than 150 mm.
According to preliminary statistics from the Yichang Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, a total of 127,400 people were affected in the city, and 441 were urgently displaced.
