Efforts to Save Water and Reduce Emissions in Chemical Enterprises Should also be "Three Steps"
It is understood that many public utilities such as water supply and sewerage and water treatment in China's chemical industry are gradually completed with the construction and expansion of production facilities. There is neither an overall plan nor optimization. There are widespread metering instruments, pipe networks that have been rebuilt, lack of drawings, and small, complete and redundant construction. Faced with such a reality, although chemical companies have a lot of space and potential for saving water and reducing emissions, it is a top priority for all chemical companies to plan how to tap out their potential and improve the efficiency of water resources utilization.
According to the principle of “discriminating priorities and gradually realizing goals,†the author believes that the chemical industry's water-saving and emission reduction technology transformation can adopt a “three-step†strategy.
The first step is to do a good job in basic measurement work and improve operational management. Chemical companies can make an overall optimization analysis of the water system on the basis of a clear understanding of the bottom of their own homes, and excavate the water-saving potential that is most easily tapped. For example, to rectify water metering instrument configurations, strengthen metering, conduct strict assessments, confirm the basic data of the water system, do a good job of water vapor balance meters for various devices, and use advanced circulating water treatment technologies, etc. to achieve low investment and effective Fast, high-return water-saving and emission reduction purposes.
The second step is to conduct in-depth system engineering analysis of the water network and improve the water reuse rate. The various waste waters discharged from the process equipment of the chemical company's production facilities are not treated or can be directly applied to the circulating water system and process equipment through simple processing. After the optimization of the network system, they can be combined to form a “middle waterway†for rationalization. Analyze with water to become a relatively clean water source for the entire plant. The characteristic of this step is that the investment fee is mainly used for pipeline construction and filtration equipment. The chemical companies can implement the water network according to their respective conditions. The cost is not too high and they can be recycled in the short or medium term.
The third step is the recycling of wastewater. After the first two steps of treatment, the amount of discharged sewage is greatly reduced. However, for the sewage that has to be discharged at the end, it must be treated by certain equipment, for example, reverse osmosis ion exchange, softening, etc., so that it can be reused and then returned to the system.
The author believes that the comprehensive use of "three steps" strategy, systematic analysis of water, put forward a reasonable water-saving and emission reduction program, scientific application, chemical companies to achieve water-saving emission reduction goals is entirely possible.
