MANN+HUMMEL sales increase 2.18 billion euros to reach 30.4% growth

MANN+HUMMEL’s EBIT rose from 23 million euros in 2009 to 149 million euros in 2010; ROCE (used return on capital) increased from 3.9% in 2009 to 25.6% in 2010. As of the end of 2010, MANN+HUMMEL had 13,201 permanent employees worldwide, an increase of 12%. Last year, we produced more than 400 million filter elements, equivalent to more than 25 units per second. To increase efficiency and enhance competitiveness, MANN+HUMMEL has optimized processes and procedures.

In 2010, the company focused on key issues such as corporate culture, production/logistics, and strategy, setting three goals to be achieved by 2018. First, sales increased to 3.4 billion euros. Second, diversification was achieved, bringing the sales of non-automotive, automotive OE and automotive aftermarket sectors to one-third of total sales. Third, achieving all regions Growth, especially in Asia and the Americas, including North America and South America, such that European sales can account for 50%, Asia, the Americas each accounted for 25%. MANN+HUMMEL invests approximately 4% of its annual sales in R&D, which is higher than the regional average. The company is currently developing ten projects in the electric vehicle domain. In 2010, MANN+HUMMEL also continued its strong growth in the Chinese market.
