SKF announced that it will fund two Chinese youth soccer teams to Europe to participate in the "Goldberg Cup" World Junior Football Championships to be held in Sweden in July.

The world’s largest manufacturer of bearing giants SKF China, Audrey, was interviewed by reporters in Shanghai recently and pointed out that even if the growth rate of the Chinese economy slows down, it is still more attractive than other markets.

Ai Yide said: "Our sales for the automotive industry, the growth rate in 2010 is 30%, this year may drop to 10%, but this is still quite astonishing compared to other regions."

The overall industry slowdown brought about by the transformation of the manufacturing industry has not slowed the confidence of multinational corporations in China's manufacturing industry.

In 1986, SKF relaunched its business in China through its consignment station in Shanghai. In 1988 SKF established a sales company in Hong Kong, China, named SKF Bearing China Co., Ltd. Since 1994, the SKF Group has started to set up factories in China. In order to meet the Group's decision to develop long-term development in China with rapid development, SKF (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was formally established in 1997. At present, the company is SKF's headquarters office in China.

SKF's business in China can be divided into two parts: industrial business and automotive business, each with its own sales team and production unit. The scope of business covers SKF's five technology platforms, namely: bearings and bearing units, seals, lubrication systems, mechatronics and services.

Currently, SKF has 11 manufacturing plants and service units in China. With a sales team that spans the country and more than 150 distributors, SKF can better get closer to customers and provide our products and services. At present, SKF employs more than 4,000 people in China.
