Recently, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ. Due to the Takata airbag problem, it will be recalled from November 13th, 2003 to August 29th, 2005 from the grandma of 2017. Some of the 2003-2005 BMW X3 cars are produced. According to statistics, there are 263 vehicles in mainland China.

This recall is because the driver's position of some vehicles at the time of shipment proves that the airbag is not defective, but after the after-sales maintenance, the ammonium nitrate gas generator without the desiccant produced by Takada is installed. When the airbag is deployed, the metal casing of the gas generator may be damaged, causing debris to fly out, posing a safety hazard.

BMW will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall. If the vehicle is found to be defective in airbags, it will be replaced free of charge to eliminate hidden dangers.

BMW will notify customers by registered mail, etc. Users can also call customer service to inquire about recalling relevant information and check if their vehicle is within the scope of recall.
