During the tunneling process, the top layer coal will continue to flow down and landslides, while the bottom layer will be soft coal. It is very easy to sink, which makes it difficult to excavate and support. The coal mine in Henan Province accounts for about 40% of this situation. However, at present, it is impossible to use mechanical methods for excavation and support, and both artificial excavation and support are used. The ergonomics are very slow. Every class of more than 10 people can only excavate and support about 2 meters a day.
After on-the-spot inspections by leaders and technicians of Carter Heavy Industries, they believed that in order to increase efficiency, this type of coal mine must be excavated and supported at the same time. It is theoretically feasible to use mechanical means to improve ergonomics. For this reason, Carter Heavy Industries has reached cooperation with the coal mine. The agreement to jointly develop "digging and supporting synchronous machines". This model mainly uses Caterpillar Heavy Industries' EBZ30 or EBZ35 roadheader for modification, adding hydraulic quick support functions to achieve simultaneous excavation and support, and increase efficiency. Supporting synchronous machines, if successfully developed, will be the first in the country to bring the gospel to the domestic "three soft" coal mines, and to solve the manual operations of the "three soft" coal mines, and step into the era of modern machinery operation.
