It is reported that this sensor, named TCS-01CA, is designed to perform uninterrupted performance assessments and accurately measure cylinder pressure and reduce nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide emissions. At present, the company has provided adapters for MAN and Wärtsilä engines, and it was installed on the cargo ship “Hedda Schulte†in April 2015 for project testing.
According to IMES, the TCS-01CA can be further optimized through the use of a combustion monitoring system. The monitoring system can process the TCS-01CA data in real time. The engine performance data can be managed and compared. Up to 12 cylinders of data can be collected and visualized. And performance evaluation software to reduce fuel lubricating oil consumption, save costs, and reduce maintenance.
