Recently, Sanyou Group and Qinghai Colorful Industry Co., Ltd. cooperated to build a 1.1 million tons/year soda project contract. After the completion of the project, Sanyou Group's soda ash production capacity will exceed 3.2 million tons per year, ranking the first in the country.

As Asia's largest salt chemical company, Sanyou Group has pioneered the “two-alkali and one-chemical” circular economy model in China, and carefully created the second silicon recycling economy park, achieving a successful transformation from basic chemicals to fine chemicals. At present, the major core technologies of the Group's major soda ash, viscose staple fiber, caustic soda and polyvinyl chloride have reached international or domestic advanced level, and a number of indicators such as output, quality, and foreign exchange earning have ranked first in the industry. In order to further strengthen the overall strength and speed up the transformation and upgrading, in 2010, Sanyou Group identified 29 key development projects and a 1.1 million tons/year soda ash cooperation project came into being.

The cooperation between the two parties is Qinghai Multicolored Alkali Industry Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qinghai Colourful Mining Co., Ltd., and Sanyou Group has invested RMB 380 million to obtain 51% of the shares, and Wucai Mining holds 49% of the shares. The 1.1 million ton/year soda ash project has been listed as the number one project in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of Sanyou Group.
