GEABock launches new type of transcritical CO2 compressor

Recently, GEABock has released the new product's six-cylinder semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor series HG46CO2T. Through this series, GEA refrigeration technology expands the product range of transcritical CO2 applications and now provides the largest semi-closed reciprocating transcritical CO2 compressor on the market, with a range of displacements from 21.8m3/h to 30.2m3/h, the selection is more convenient, and the compressor size can be conveniently selected according to the cooling demand.

It is understood that this series of compressors has excellent energy efficiency ratio COP>1,85 and further in the medium temperature conditions (gas cooler outlet temperature 35 °C (90bar), evaporation temperature -10 °C, superheat 10K). Increased application limits and sufficient power. Since the introduction of the market, compressors have been used in many classical refrigeration applications as well as in many industrial heat pump applications. The gas cooler outlet conditions are 25°C (100 bar), evaporating temperature 5°C and overheating 10K, and the COP can reach 3,46.
